Are volunteering sessions held in-person or online?
For the current time being volunteering sessions will be taking place online. These take place on zoom where two to three volunteers will be paired with each class. For both in-person and online sessions, a background check and protection of minors course will take place.
Are Robogals sessions only for female students (gals!) or for all students inclusively?
The volunteering sessions are available for all students! We work with multiple schools with mixed gender classrooms.
Do volunteering sessions take place after school or during school hours?
Volunteering times are flexible, Robogals Columbia can work around the schools schedule for both after school and during school hours. Let us know about your schools schedule and we can arrange for volunteering when available.
Are you interested in Robogals coming to your school?
While noting that we are doing volunteer sessions virtually right now per Columbia policy, you can contact us via our email robogals@columbia.edu for inquiries about Robogals coming to your school. Specifically, we target schools in the Harlem and Upper Manhattan area.
